We finally got the sub wet. The first test was a complete success, and I now know that the displacement and stability are right. The sub floats a few inches above the water line without any air pressure in the tanks. I believe that a small amount of air should bring the sub up to its water line when surfaced. The first test was done with the fuel tank full and thirty gallons of water and antifreeze in the forward tank. The main hull stayed dry and the only problem encountered was a leak in the port saddle tank, that can be quickly fixed. I intend to retest shortly after making repairs. This time, we will fire up the generator and test all systems. I still don't  have the compressed air system completed so I have no way to blow the tanks. This makes it necessary to keep the sub on the slings for safety reasons.

Thanks for checking out my progress.
