I would like to start this update by thanking the gentleman from Australia for sending the information regarding the gyro compass. It's nice to know that people from all over the world are able to watch my progress.

The sub is now ninety-eight percent complete, the side fairings and deck are now in place along with the saddle tank end forms. The hull should be ready for painting in a week or so. The solar power running lights have proven to work as advertised and they certainly look realistic.

Please feel free to drop me an e-mail if you have any questions. I will do my best to answer them. I believe that this project is the closest thing to a WWII replica ever made, if I'm mistaken please let me know. It has taken me almost two years and two thousand hours of work to complete the sub, to this point, but it was worth every bit of time, I put into it.

             Thank You,

             Bill
