I can no longer see the large changes taking place that I first experienced. The work has become much more tedious now that I am getting close to the three quarter point. The ballast system is completed with all valves and hoses in place for both the hard and soft tanks. The generator is now ready to run with gauges, exhaust and fuel lines in place. Building the sub without a complete set of prints has proven to be quite a challenge and parts are constantly assembled and disassembled to be sure of proper fit and to allow room for the other components. It is truly a tremendous undertaking and should not be started unless you have the time and the patience to see it through. I have eleven hundred hours involved in the construction at this point and I believe it will be another four or five hundred before its ready to test. I am however testing the systems for leaks as we proceed so that I don' t run into a major problem later. It looks to me like we should see a mid summer launch.
