It’s been approximately two months since my last update.  I believe I have accomplished a considerable amount since I last wrote.

The 40 gallon fuel tank has now been installed.  At 1 ¼  gph it should give me at least a 30 hour range.  Depending on my top speed I expect to see a range between two and three hundred miles on the surface.  My estimated  top surface speed is 7 to 9 knots (educated guess).

The generator and battery bed is now in place.  The two battery banks of 120 volts each will weigh 1250 pounds..

The conning tower is now formed and cut to it’s final size from ½” plate.  I have temporarily fitted the view port flanges as you can see in the following pictures.

Approximately ½ of the thru hull fittings for the ballast tanks have been installed.  The stern ballast tank is in place along with its associated pickup and discharge thru hulls.

Hopefully the weather will cool off so I can get some more accomplished.
