Memorial Day Weekend
Cold Wet and Lots of Fish

Though the Friday before Memorial Day looked promising the weather rapidly degraded to more fall like conditions.  However, these anglers proved that the fish found the weather to their liking, at least for the catching.  Jodi Kleuskens of EHT, entered a 4 lb 10oz flounder in the Youth division  on Saturday (22.5" with a girth of 18.5").

Weak fish are now putting in a strong appearance in the back bays with entries ranging up to  6 lbs 9oz caught in Lakes Bay by Mike McElroy, Sunday on the "Muldon".

Jean Fink entered a 5 lb, 14oz weakie hooked behind Margate, caught aboard the "Jenny Lee".

Marie Petrosh caught a 3lb 2oz of 22nd street in Longport.  (what ever happened to fishing being a guy sport).

Tom Adams at least maintained the male honor with a 6.5 pounder also of 22nd street.

Don Brown reports that the weakfish are holing in the deep holes.  Bucktails with scented baits are working, however, shedder crab is producing the best results.

But then again lets not forget the flounder.
