Last Trip of the Season
(We'll believe it when we don't see him)

As the winter approaches I have less and less time to fish. I went out this past Friday with my girl Ming for what I believe to be my final trip of 2001. The weather was perfect! Sunny and warm with no wind. The water was clean and a Striper friendly 53 degrees. The tide was low so I took a ride to one of my favorite holes, Black Point. On the second drift using a live eel, I hooked up with this 35" fish which weighed in @ 15 lbs. As we continued to fish the point, Ming hooked up with two more Bass, one 28" and the other 33" (bonus tag #5554).

Fall fishing for Stripers is here in full swing! Get out soon before its too late! If I don't get out again, I look forward to reporting in April of 2002 when I'll be drifting live herring for spring Stripers.
