Boat Sales

I have always enjoyed building models and I am fortunate to possess a unique gift that allows me to look at an object and copy it without using detailed prints.  My goal is to produce  a self propelled miniature warship based on the classic design of the “Battleship New Jersey”.  In order to fulfill my plan I must build, not only one, but two battleships.  After all who ever heard of having a good gunfight with only one gun?

My idea is a simple one.  Build two 21’ battleship replicas (my rendition) the first being of the “Battleship New Jersey”; power it with a 120 hp Jet Ski engine and drive.  Design it in such a fashion so that two grown men can fit in it comfortably.  Design and install two, fully functional, articulated, air driven water canons.

I intend to make the boats look and feel as closely as possible, to the real thing.  To this end, I intend to install fore and aft looking camera systems tgun turrento provide visibility without detracting from the classic lines.  I will defer to using modern electronic navigation and related safety.  The hulls will be fiberglass over plywood and the superstructure finished with West Systems.  I intend to have the first vessel operational within 18 months.

After the completion of successful sea trials, I intend to construct a second vessel based on the overall design of the “Battleship Bismarck”.   I believe that the experience that I’ve gained in the production of the “New Jersey” will allow me to complete the “Bismark” in considerably less time.

Each ship that I build will be of a unique design.  They will be beautiful to look at and fun to operate.

I anticipate sea trials of the "New Jersey" to be conducted in mid May of 2010.

I am sorry I will not be able to answer, or reply to, any questions during the construction phase but between building the pair and running the marina, there are only so many hours in a day.  Keep watching this web site for updates.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and all my hard work.
