It may have been the first day of flounder season but top awards today go to Joe Simone of the Margate Fishing Pier Angler's Association.  Joe reeled in this 33lb 9oz beauty on Saturday afternoon and had everyone in the shop crowded around.

33lbs, 9oz
44" Long
24.5" Girth

There is a good possibility that this is a record bass for the Margate Pier.

Starting off Flounder Season in fine style was  John Zaccoria, of Sicklerville,  who boated this 5lb, 1oz flatty.  Length 24" Girth 20".
