On the saltwater side Matt Dziegrenuk of Northfield weighted in his 69th bass of the year. It went 12 1/2 lb. and was caught from Longport Rock Pile on clam.

On Friday, Mark Peters, of Mays Landing, loaded up the scales with a 40 lb, 8oz linesider.  He caught it using a chunk of fresh Herring.

On Saturday Frank Hannum and family caught and released 17 Bass from the back bay area using live Herring.  Nice hour and a half of fishing.

If you can get some, Herring are the bait of choice.  Clam is still doing well.  There have also been a few fish taken on soft plastics.
