I took
my girl Ming out on Friday afternoon hoping to duplicate the
success I had the day before @ Black Point. What a difference a
day makes, the wind picked up considerably making it next to
impossible to make a quality drift. We did our best to hide from
the wind and managed to put 4 keepers in the boat during short
afternoon. Pictured below is my Ming with a fine catch and my best
so far, a 22 incher who gobbled a 4" white zoom.

Went
out today for a few hours today and struggled finding fish. I
did manage 1 keeper but she was a beauty, a 5 lber who gobbled up a
3/8 ounce white jig head tipped with spearing. |
Heavy
winds the past couple of days have really made fishing for Fluke
difficult. I fished hard but could only put a couple in the cooler.
I elected to bring along the crabbing gear today and managed to
bring home 3 dozen Jimmies from Absecon Bay. I was crabbing in 2
feet of water near the sod banks where the temp was 74*. |
